Generating appropriate geometry, mesh and attribution is a key starting point for physics-based analysis.  Existing tools and methods lack sufficient automation, robustness and scalability and may require weeks to months to prepare a model for analyses. This is a major bottleneck in the wider adoption and use of physics-based computational approaches. The Mesh and Geometry project was formed to improve the ease, speed, flexibility, and quality of geometry and mesh generation.

  • CAPSTONE: Rapid generation of the geometry and mesh representations needed for all phases of the engineering acquisition process. Emphasizes the key role of geometry in the representation of weapons systems. Enables working with different computer aided design (CAD) representatives natively.
